Different Brain
Introduction
Talking to myself is my preferred way of spending time rather than socializing with ordinary people, whom I often find boring. It may be hard to believe, but that's just the way I am.
Don't pretend to understand me or try to be my friend; you won't grasp my thoughts, and I don't find it amusing when others assume they can. I'm content being alone for extended periods, as I struggle to comprehend the need for constant interaction with others.
Giving My Mum Space
I used to spend a lot of time with my mum, but now I'm giving her space as she seems to need it. If I stay in her space, it could lead to more conflicts, which is something I want to avoid. Perhaps it's best to stay away from her for as long as possible, for both our sakes.
Embracing Solitude
Being alone doesn't make me feel lonely; in fact, I enjoy it. I feel shy and uncomfortable when others notice me, so I prefer staying away from people. Some might find this strange, but I believe it's the right way for me to live. I find peace and happiness in my solitude and pray to God to keep me content with myself.
Horror Movies and Self-Amusement
I have a keen interest in horror movies as I find them entertaining and funny. They make me laugh and allow me to relax. While I keep this hobby to myself and don't share it with my mum, I know it brings me joy.
Learning and Helping Others
I enjoy learning new things and keeping my brain active, as it empowers me to help others with their problems. I like to stay busy and strive to be a smart and capable person. My brother, Linus, is also a good friend who teaches me valuable things.
The Power of the Brain and the Heart
The brain is a remarkable organ that controls many bodily functions. Taking care of it is essential, as is getting enough sleep to keep it functioning optimally. The human heart, with its ability to pump blood, is fascinating too. It's crucial to maintain good health to ensure these organs work well.
Understanding Mental Health
Asylums were once meant to help people with mental health issues, but some ended up in such places due to misunderstanding and a lack of knowledge. True Christians can find solace in their faith, and it's essential not to judge others without understanding their struggles.
Being true to myself and embracing my quirks is essential for my well-being. My unique interests and preferences make me who I am, and I strive to learn and grow every day. While some might not understand me, I find comfort in my solitude and trust in God to guide my path. I cherish my friendships with my brother and my pets, and I hope to make a positive impact on the world with my knowledge and understanding of myself and others.
Embracing Emotions: My Journey to Overcoming Stoicism
Being an emotionless person was a challenge I faced, as I believed I could continue living like that. However, I soon realized that this was not the right path for me. School phobia even struck me, making it even more difficult to maintain my stoic facade. It was then that I met Happy, my friend at Jaffrey School, who changed my life and brought laughter and emotion back into my world.
The Unexpected Friendship
At Jaffrey School, I was socially awkward and quite shy. Happy, on the other hand, was a bundle of joy, always making me laugh with her infectious energy. Somehow, we became friends, and her laughter slowly began to melt away my stoic shell.
Laughter Heals
Happy's laughter was like medicine for my soul. Whenever we were together, I found myself laughing uncontrollably. It was as if all my pent-up emotions were finally finding an outlet. I cherish the memories of seeing her outside of school, laughing and feeling carefree.
A Bond That Transcends
Our bond grew stronger with time, and Happy became more than just a friend; she became a confidante. She cared for me deeply, always checking up on my emotional wellbeing. Her presence alone could turn my worst days into joyous moments.
Challenges Faced Together
Life threw its challenges at us, and Happy's sickness was one of them. Seeing her in pain made me cry too. We stood by each other, offering support and care during difficult times.
Embracing my emotions and forging a genuine friendship with Happy transformed my life. Her laughter brought out the joy within me, and her caring nature showed me the value of emotional connections. I no longer fear expressing my feelings, and for that, I am eternally grateful to my dear friend, Happy.
Impatience and Solitude: My Perspective
Waiting for people can be quite irksome. I admit that I am not very patient at times, though it's not something I desire. I prefer explanations that are easy for me to comprehend, often relying on extensive Googling. My thoughts often revolve around subjects like the human body, including the brain and heart. I can ponder these topics for extended periods without interruption. This intense focus allows me to learn certain things quickly, making it safer for me to move around unnoticed.
The Need for Fresh Air
Frequently, I yearn for fresh air, but I struggle to fully absorb it. When the temperature rises, I tend to lock myself away to avoid discomfort.
Running Away from Myself
There are times when I try to escape from my own mind because my brain resists sleep altogether. Instead, I find it easier to concentrate on activities I enjoy, such as walking, cooking, reading, and typing. Although my mum advises against being antisocial, I occasionally crave solitude for extended periods. Understanding the necessity of interacting with others eludes me as I have grown accustomed to being alone for a long time.
My impatience, need for isolation, and intense focus on my interests define who I am. While I recognize the value of socializing, I still find it challenging to grasp why connecting with others is essential. Embracing my unique traits and balancing social interaction with personal time remains a work in progress.
I don't Like Waiting
Many people might find it surprising, but I often prefer talking to myself rather than socializing with others. I find the company of ordinary people to be rather dull and uninteresting. It's not that I'm antisocial; I simply cherish the freedom to explore my thoughts without the constraints of conformity.
Seeking Solitude for Understanding
While some may struggle to understand my preference, I don't expect anyone to grasp the intricacies of my mind fully. It's not a matter of amusement for me, nor do I seek friendships that may not truly comprehend my inner workings. I prefer solitude, as it allows me to be myself without the need to adapt or compromise.
Resisting Influence and Remaining True
If someone were to provoke me or try to argue, they would quickly realize that changing my way of thinking is not an easy task. Just as I respect their views, I expect them to respect mine, but I won't be swayed easily.
Navigating Conflict with Space and Thought
When I need time to contemplate, I step back from social interactions and seek solace in my thoughts. Taking the time to be calm and understand things is vital for my well-being. Conflict is inevitable in human interactions, and when it arises, I seek the space to think things through before responding.
Nurturing Meaningful Connections
While some might view me as having a negative attitude, I see it as a way of protecting myself from unnecessary conflicts. Instead, I focus on fostering relationships with those who share my passions and can teach me new and exciting things. I value these connections deeply, and I'm willing to invest my time and energy in them.
Balancing Independence and Family
Even though I used to spend a lot of time with my mother, I've come to realize that giving her space is essential. Sometimes, being too close can lead to friction, and I respect her need for personal time.
Finding Peace in Solitude
My aversion to a crowded social life stems from my belief that too many interactions can be overwhelming, leading to frustration and disappointment. To stay in control of my emotions, I prefer to channel my energy into deep thinking and pursuing my interests.
Embracing Personal Reflection
Despite my occasional struggles with indecision, I enjoy letting my mind wander and explore various ideas. It might seem odd to some, but I find joy in this process, especially when it leads to breakthroughs or personal growth. I find comfort in praying for guidance during times of uncertainty, relying on my inner self to find peace and happiness.
A Journey of Learning and Growth
In my pursuit of knowledge and self-improvement, I value the importance of keeping my brain active and engaged. I don't want to be limited by mental fatigue, so I'm always seeking opportunities to learn and challenge myself.
Appreciating Horror and Individuality
While some might not understand my fascination with horror movies, I find them amusing and thrilling. The adrenaline rush and the humor in the exaggerated reactions make it an enjoyable experience for me. I prefer not to share my interest with my mother, as she disapproves of such movies.
Connecting with Animals and Nature
I have a strong connection with animals, and I can communicate with them in a unique way. Felix, my friend's cat, and my puppy dog are precious companions to me. I find solace in talking to them and understanding their needs and emotions.
Navigating Differences and Growth
In the past, I had moments of difficulty with my mother, and I've learned to walk away when tensions arise. This allows both of us to cool off and come back to the discussion with clearer minds. I understand that our perspectives may differ, and sometimes, it's best to give her space.
Cherishing Unique Bonds
While I cherish the memories of spending time with my mother, I appreciate the relationships I have with my brother, Linus, and my friend, Bran. Each of us has our unique interests and aspirations. I admire Linus's talents, creativity, and intelligence, while Bran's ambition to become a website designer intrigues me.
Nurturing Mental Well-being
As I journey through life, I aim to be self-sufficient and rely on myself rather than leaning on others for help. I enjoy lending a helping hand to my friends when they need it, but I prefer not to burden them with my own challenges.
The Power of Self-Reflection
Though some may perceive my thoughts and actions as eccentric or misunderstood, I don't let it deter me. I find solace and contentment in being alone, and I believe it's possible to enjoy solitude without feeling lonely. It allows me to explore my thoughts freely and find peace and happiness within myself.
Seeking Guidance from Faith
As I continue to learn, grow, and pursue my passions, I hope to develop a better understanding of who I am. While the world may not always comprehend or accept me, I find comfort in my relationship with God, praying for guidance and strength in my journey of self-discovery.

On Thursday, January 25th, I found myself outside, engaged in a project involving wool, bottle tops, and the assistance of local bushmen. As I meticulously wrapped steel wire with vibrant colors, the bushmen's lively radio tunes added to the cheerful atmosphere. Encouraged by their enthusiasm, Paranjo joined in, mirroring JP's actions. Grateful for their help, I acknowledged their contribution before turning my attention to other matters.
It's been a while since I last wrote, but here I am, starting anew. When I learned that my Dad and Christofina were coming, I was filled with a mix of excitement and nerves. Knowing my hand was still in bad shape, I prayed fervently that my dad would arrive in time to see me.
